BTW: I am an atheist. More specifically: I am an AGNOSTIC Atheist. I don't claim to "know" that God (or gods) don't exist. I don't assert any claims, really. I deny the ones presented (thus far) based on the characteristics and properties that define them.

Thing is: I am not only an atheist - I am an ANTI-THEIST.

I do try my best to respect *people* (because I'm a lover), BUT...I feel no particular need or want to respect their "beliefs" although I ABSOLUTELY respect their right to have them!!

If you are religious - chances are this blog is going to piss you off. Some of the posts come off as hostile and maybe they are... Personally, though, I don't find them anywhere NEAR as "offensive" as the many, many, MANY crimes against humanity fueled by religion and humans motivated by it. Yes, I'm aware that religion didn't commit these crimes. People did. I feel Steven Weinberg said it best:

"With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion. "

Pretty much.

When it comes to religion fueled ignorance, I can be QUITE combative - so I guess technically that makes me both a lover AND a fighter. I love people and I FIGHT against the outworn beliefs that hold us (humanity) back from our collective potential. If you happen to subscribe to one (or more) of these beliefs...my blog will most likely "offend" you. I know it and I'm sorry. Not sorry about my blog, mind you...sorry that sometimes harsh reality "offends" you.
